This week’s beauty muse: Blake Lively
We’ve decided it was about time we included some beauty muses in this blog. You know those people whose beauty style we want to steal, or whose look inspires us in some way. So I’m kicking it off with Blake Lively. I’ve admired her look and style ever since I saw a sneak peek of the deliciously dramatic show Gossip Girl. Not only is she fashionably stylish (well, her character is anyway) but she’s also gorgeous and makes spot-on hair and makeup choices. This recent picture is a prime example. She’s radiant and is exuding a sort of wholesome beauty. She appears glamorous, pretty and girl-next-door-natural all at once. First, the hair is key to her success. The volume is elegant, but her curls are loose and natural (though not messy) which relaxes the style. Her hair is also shining – which can be quite difficult to achieve with blonde hair. Her skin also looks flawless, and she’s got on just the right amount of blusher to give her a healthy glow. Natural coloured and low-key eye makeup, paired with lashings of mascara and natural pink lips complete the effect. This is a prime example of how less can be more, and natural makeup can make you look even more sophisticated and pretty. I want to steal her hair and her cosmetic case!
